Dr. Hantes has always had a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and female incontinence/prolapse and is one of the most highly trained and skilled physicians in North Texas for treatment of these conditions. He has published several articles in this area.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hantes has been active in numerous medical societies, served on hospital committees, and is currently the Director or Urogynecology at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.

“I have always felt that being a physician was not a right but a privilege I have been given. To whom much is given, much is expected. I believe there are two things that make a quality physician: expertise and compassion. Getting the cutting edge training has been a very time consuming process but extremely rewarding when I see how it benefits my patients. It will always be an ongoing process that I am committed to for my patients. The compassion side is very natural and easy. I was fortunate to have such a strong family background growing up in Texas. As a physician, I always felt that if I treated my patients with respect and how I would want my daughter, sister, or mother treated, then I would be providing the quality of care women in the metroplex deserve. I enjoy going to work everyday and often remind myself and my staff of these principles I believe in”.

While Dr. Hantes' practice is time consuming and a priority, he is also passionate about his life outside of medicine. He states that his daughter, Kate, is the best thing that he has ever experienced in life. They have two pugs: Jasper and Annabelle. They enjoy boating on the lake and being “Dallas Cowboys” fans. He also enjoys golf and pretty much anything that affords him the opportunity to spend time with his family and close friends.

Dr. Hantes is dedicated to providing his patients with top quality work, optimal results and conscientious care for the following conditions: Routine Well-Woman Exams, Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, Urinary Incontinence (loss of urine), Overactive Bladder, Vaginal Prolapse (dropped bladder/vagina), Pelvic Pain, Permanent In-Office Birth Control/Essure and Uterine Ablation. With his minimally invasive surgical background, the vast majority of hysterectomies, etc. can be done with the advancements in the DaVinci robotic surgery.
